Youth Bible teacher, ex-Scoutmaster faces sex charge involving child

A youth Bible studies teacher and former Scoutmaster in Wayne County has been accused of having sexual contact with a 5-year-old girl.

New York State Police last night charged Samuel W. Langley, 72, of 5716 State Route 350, Ontario, with second-degree course of sexual conduct against a child, a felony.
State Police Investigator Frank D’Aurizio said Langley is accused of having sexual contact with the girl at least twice in the last year.
Langley was a Scoutmaster for the Boy Scouts of America for about 40 years, He also teaches Bible studies to youths at the Baptist Bible Church in Sodus, Wayne County, troopers said.
D’Aurizio said the child knew Langley, but not through Scouting or the church.
Troopers today continue to investigate. Anyone with information about Langley is asked to call State Police in Williamson at (315) 589-8288.
